Set up a fantasy league for Euro 2016 if anyone is interested.
To create team: http://eurofantasy.uefa.com/en (you will need to make an account on the UEFA website though)
League code: 00484RCL

yeah I have but he's still most likely to spearhead the best side (on paper at least) in the easiest group. The top scorers don't tend to get that many anyway (3 at 2012, 4 at 2008) and it's not absurd to think he could get a few tap ins against Albania and Romania.

Will Giroud start with Griezmann in hot form?

griezman plays on the right. It'll be between Giroud and Gignac.

Bear in mind this is a 26 man squad, 3 players will be cut from the team. Who would you cut, and who do you think will be cut?
Who I'd cut: Stones, Delph, Rashford and have Dier as my backup defender should we need him.
Who will be cut: Delph, Rashford and the other is dependent on whether Wilshere or Henderson can prove their fitness. I think Henderson is the more likely of the two to be cut since we have midfielders like him of the same ilk in the squad. If both prove that they are fit then I think Drinkwater will get the chop unfortunately.

so you'd want there to be only 2 primary centre backs in the squad lol?
Honestly think that's a good a squad as you're gonna get. You could argue that Defoe was more deserving than Rashford but it's not like he's gonna make the final cut and this could be a valuable learning experience for him. Delph over Noble is pretty funny if only to wind up the 606 crowd.

Nah I'd say Dier should be the backup defender. Cahill and Smalling should be the partnership and Dier can fill in when needed.
Henderson should really be cut instead of Drinkwater to be honest, I think he's the weaker player of the two at this stage, and he's only just coming back from injury.

That'd still only be 2 actual centre backs and a midfielder can play cb when needed. That's just playing with fire.corn wrote:chuckleberry finn wrote:so you'd want there to be only 2 primary centre backs in the squad lol?

What is your problem with Bertrand? Cresswell is good but there's literally no reason to get rid of Bertrand.
I do hope Townsend makes the final cut actually. He's the only left footed winger in the squad, and does have a spark about him that could be crucial when chasing a game.

Well I just think that Cresswell is a more complete player than Bertrand. Bertrand's alright but I don't think he's great, certainly not better than Rose anyway.
And as for Noble, glad he's not going. Shit attitude as far as I'm concerned. When Ashley Cole was told he wasn't going to Brazil his response was to wish Roy and the lads good luck and that's the attitude I want to see from our players. Kevin Nolan as well, who should have gotten a cap, just got on with it, never complained, never showed his bottom lip, never went to the media to rant, just went on with his business and tried to win games for his team and impress onlookers. So Mark Noble is better than Danny Drinkwater is he? In his own deluded opinion maybe. 0 England caps stays it all.
