So, whats going to be different? Empty So, whats going to be different?

I like the idea behind this league. From what I'm reading/have been told the point is to be community focused and give undervalued or inexperienced players the opportunity to get some games. That's a great idea but I have a serious question. How? What measures or plans are in place to stop this league becoming like all the others? I know it sounds like a gripe but its a serious question. It's not like one day FM decided one day that it would stop being community focused, it changed slowly over time.

Plus its not like having another league will by default give less exposed players more gametime, the thing about hax is that unlike a real sport or serious esport one talented player can easily play on multiple teams across multiple leagues. Captains will seek out these talented players to bolster their squads just like they did in every other league. Sure S1 and maybe S2 will be what you want them to be because the league isn't established, but the big names will come and squeeze people out just like they do in every other league (unless things have changed significantly since I've been gone).

So...what are you going to do to make this league what you want it to be?

The plan is to keep the league close to the pub community, so we will be hosting both public and private PremierHax rooms to make sure that new UK players get a good chance to show what they can do and improve. The league will also be advertised though PremierHax rooms which are all UK based, so UK players or foreign players who play in UK rooms will be the first to know about us. We also don't have a Teamspeak server, nor do we plan to have one in the near future, so it's not as likely that players who want to play here get cut for mercenaries who just turn up for the games and leave.

We plan to involve the community as much as possible and for those who are not picked in the draft, we plan to keep them involved and interested in the league by not only hosting PremierHax rooms, but also hosting things such as cups and 1v1 ladders.

Also, should we need to in the future, we can implement new rules which encourages captains to pick UK players, both established and new to the league.

Also welcome to the league Very Happy

Good to know thought has went into it. You'll need to be careful though. FM used to host rooms, then as the skill gap grew between FMers and pubs, and the teams filled up with players we did it less and less, until we stopped altogether.

Good ideas though, hope you can pull it off, it's going to be a lot of work.

Seen this happen in pretty much all UK leagues, maybe except RF, where it gains popularity then players from everywhere start getting signed, the standard goes up, and it's difficult for newer UK players to find a team because all the teams are quite private.

I really like the idea of no TeamSpeak though, that and draft picking every season, along with maybe a foreign player rule if it's needed in the future, will really help keep this UK pub room community focused

He's in jail for selling lag-switches on the deep web.

Seriously though I did try e-mailing him a while back and got no response so I have no idea.

New players have to be able to believe that they'll be given a chance by a team in this league rather than captains defaulting to journeyman player X,Y,Z etc. Partially up to the attitude of the players themselves but also the league's responsibility to not sacrifice everything on the altar of a higher standard of hax.
