I think he has the tools to play as a wide forward, his form earns him a place in the side and there aren't any options I'd consider to be better.

Wilshere is our best midfielder and it would be silly not to play him. Whether he's fit or not is another matter.

lol he did fuck all out wide last season whereas he's top scorer playing up front. Shoving him out wide just to fit him in is pointless and it'd be making the same mistakes as before.

He's still a better player now compared to last season and would provide a goal threat and workrate out wide

Wilshere was superb in qualifying, excellent passer and powers past players. You only have to watch him to realise he's our most talented midfielder.

I think Wilshere is out best midfielder outside carrick but I wouldn't bother taking him even if he is fit as he will probably just fall over and injure himself against Slovakia.

It's just shoving players out of their positions just to get them into the side. He's never even played on the right either. This isn't fifa ffs.

Wilshere is so inconsistent, and I know it's probably because of all his injuries, but it's still a problem. And he can't even go a run of games without getting injured.

I wouldn't mind seeing a diamond though. I like Sterling but our strongest area is the middle, and we don't have great options on the right.

If he's fit I'd take him still as he offers something others don't but calling him England's best midfielder is going overboard when he hasn't had a consistent run of games in years. He's far from indispensable.
