The OFC Champions League is back on the 8th of April! Who's excited? I personally cannot wait for what is my favourite club competition to start again and I'm hoping I can watch a few games this time.

OFC Champions League Group_13

OFC Champions League Group_12

OFC Champions League Croup_11

OFC Champions League Premi11

This is the preliminary stage which was played in January. This is where the four champions of the four weakest leagues in the confederation battle it out to see who takes the last spot in the OFC Champions League. As you can see, Kiwi won once again to qualify for the second time in their history.

The Preliminary stage games:

Yeah they'll probably win again. Lea'alafa is an incredible talent, would not surprise me at all to see him playing in the A-League next season.

Amicale vs Auckland is gonna be a cracker though. Hopefully I can watch that on stream or something.

Day Two was just as exciting! Here we see Group B kick off, the standout teams in this group are Team Wellington who actually beat Auckland City in the ASB Premiership and Hekari United, the only Pacific Islands team ever to win the competition back in 2010.

Team Wellington (New Zealand) vs Suva FA (Fiji)

As Lossi (New Caledonia) vs Hekari United (Papua New Guinea)

Day Three where two of the best teams in the competition, Amicale and Auckland City are in action against first timers Lae City Dwellers and regulars Solomon Warriors respectively. See how they got on here:

Lae City Dwellers (Papua New Guinea) vs Amicale FC (Vanuatu). There's a moment of madness in this game from minute 1:44 from Dwellers keeper Ronald Warisian that you should keep an eye out for.

Auckland City (new Zealand) vs Solomon Warriors (Solomon Islands). Can the champions start off their campaign with a win?

We go back now to Group C.

AS Magenta (New Caledonia) take on AS Tefana (Tahiti). The New Caledonian champions take on a strong AS Tefana side that includes the likes of Jonathan Tehau, Nicholas Vallar, Mickael Roche and of course the magician Steevy Chong-Hue. Can they cause an upset?

Martin Tamasese, the coach of Kiwi FC (Samoa) brought through a largely domestic squad, missing the likes of New Zealanders Martin Packer and Sam Blackburn, two players who shone during the prelinimary stages. Regular Samoan international Des Fa'aiuaso is the best player in the side, but can he inspire his team to a victory against Nadi FA (Fiji)?

Group B now.

Hekari United (Papua New Guinea) play Suva FA (Fiji). Can the PNG giants record their second win?

Team Wellington (New Zealand) play AS Lossi (New Caledonia). Can the New Caledonian side spring a surprise?

Group A now.

The Solomon Warriors (Solomon Islands) take on Amicale FC (Vanuatu). The Vanuatu champions are arguably one of the best sides in the tournament, but can they record a victory against this tricky Solomon Warriors side who will be itching to prove a point?

Reigning champions Auckland City (New Zealand) take on the Lae City Dwellers (Papua New Guinea). Can Ronald Warisian pull off the needed heroics to cause an upset against current holders Auckland City?

The final phase of Group C!

AS Tefana (Tahiti) take on a Kiwi FC (Samoa) side that are already out of the competition. Can the Tahiti champs win and give themselves a chance of advancing to the semi finals?

AS Magenta (New Caledonia) take on a Nadi FA (Fiji) side that are already out of the competition. AS Magenta need a win here to secure qualification to the next round, but Nadi FA are not a team that will  make things easy for them. Can the New Caledonian side do it?

Final phase of Group B!

Team Wellington (New Zealand) come face to face with Jerry Allen's Hekari United (Papua New Guinea). The winner of this tie will advance to the semi finals. Who will it be?

AS Lossi (New Caledonia) face the challenge of Suva FA (Fiji). Neither side can qualify for the next round so both teams are playing for pride. Who can end their campaign on a positive note?

Final phase of Group A!

Lae City Dwellers (Papua New Guinea) take on the mighty Solomon Warriors (Solomon Islands). Both sides are already out of the competition but both will want to give their fans a positive send off. There were 9 goals in this game, but which side won?

If there truly was a 'clash of the titans' then it would be this. Vanuatu giants Amicale (Vanuatu) take on current champions Auckland City (New Zealand). Both sides have a mix of Pacific Island players and foreign stars, which will make for a truly epic tie. The winner will be in the semi finals, but who will it be?

The semi finals will take place on the 20th of April.

OFC Champions League Ofc_cl10

I personally think it will be an all New Zealand final again.

Auckland City (New Zealand) take on AS Tefana (Tahiti) in this juicy semi final clash. They actually streamed this game live on YouTube so I was lucky enough to watch it. Hopefully they stream the final too.

The winners of Group B, Team Wellington (New Zealand) take on the winners of Group C, AS Magenta (New Caledonia). There can only be one winner. Will we have another all NZ final for the second consecutive year?

The Final. The winner will play in the Club World Cup!

An all New Zealand final as Auckland City (New Zealand) take on Team Wellington (New Zealand). A repeat fixture of last years OFC Champions League final, can Team Wellington get their revenge and end Auckland's streak?
