Who takes over?

"We used to pride ourselves on producing midfield artists in this country. Players like Tony Currie, Alan Hudson, Glenn Hoddle and Paul Gascoigne were just a few English playmakers developed in our clubs - players who could peel an orange with either foot but sadly no longer. What a pleasure then to see an artist at work even if he is a foreigner."

Southgate is the perfect candidate for the job. He's worked with players who will be key for us in the future such as Kane, Sterling, Barkley and Stones, plays an attractive, fast paced style of football, already worked with the FA for a few years, has experience as a player in major tournaments and won the Toulon Tournament a few months ago. If we don't get him then the only other manager I'd consider is Sam Allardyce.

Southgate with Shearer as assistant seems plausible.

As long as it's not Johnny Foreigner or Harry Redknapp I'll be OK with whoever they throw in.

I wouldn't mind that. He could come in and bring through some average players and pay them stupidly high bonuses and bankrupt the FA.

chuck would finally get his wish and see Defoe representing England once again.

lol what? i don't even like defoe

it obviously shouldn't be an english manager because none of the options are close to good enough. until the infrastructure is in place where we're making top quality coaches we have to go for foreigners.

Won't happen, plus who is there?
